About us We are a small gastroenterology office providing GI care to patients in the tri-state area. Our office is very busy, fast-paced, and challenging. We seek to provide compassionate care to our patients and meet their needs efficiently and effectively. The position will include at least 3 days per week at our clinic in Owensboro, as well as rounding some days at Ohio County Hospital. Our work environment includes: Modern office setting Food provided Modern office setting Food provided **Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical-surgical nursing and be committed to delivering high-quality care to our patients. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with patients in various settings, from acute care to assisted living facilities. The APRN will be responsible for assessing patients, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with physicians to ensure the best possible outcomes. **Duties:** – Provide comprehensive patient care, including administering medications, performing laboratory tests, and assisting with medical procedures. – Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals. – Manage acute pain effectively, using a variety of strategies to minimize discomfort and promote healing. – Document medical records accurately and efficiently, adhering to established policies and procedures. – Collaborate with patients and their families to address their needs, concerns, and preferences. – Provide education and support to patients and their caregivers on various topics. **Experience:** – A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree from an accredited institution. – Current APRN licensure in the state of practice. – A minimum of 2 years of experience as an APRN. – Strong case management and utilization review skills. – Excellent medical documentation skills. **Skills:** – Strong clinical skills in nursing. – Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. – Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. – Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs). – Certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) or a Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP).
