Must be credentialed with Nevada Medicaid and must be able to prescribe psychotropic medications to individuals dealing with mental health issues. Part to Full time position $80/hr or more In office or telehealth The APRN in this position will work as part of a collaborative care team, responsible for the assessment, treatment, evaluation and discharge planning services for individuals suffering from mental/psychiatric and medical conditions. This position requires extensive knowledge of: the etiology of serious mental health and substance abuse disorders and developmental disabilities, their treatment by a variety of appropriate therapeutic interventions including psychopharmacology; nursing practice and medical evaluation, physical diseases and their treatment; community resources and networking techniques; and of psychiatric and medical emergency stabilization. Essential Job Functions: Performs thorough psychiatric, behavioral, addiction, and medical assessments within the designated time frame; assigns appropriate diagnosis and initiate clinical management protocols specific to the clients specific behavioral health and medical needs Conducts therapy, medication assessments, and crisis response to new and existing individuals Develops individual treatment plans based upon assessment data, and provides therapeutic interventions as necessary including the provision of on-going medication management services Provides consultation and health education to agency staff, caregivers and individuals served as it is relative to the treatment and medication needs Provides special assessments of individuals awaiting discharge from state facilities, acute care hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and coordinated discharge planning with other agency and facility staff; and assists in diversion of persons from state facility placements through agency residential programs, outpatient treatment facilities and community service partners Maintains documentation of services including service plans, progress notes, medication informed consent, quarterly treatment plan reviews, and other required information in compliance insurers, regulatory standards and measures Consistently evaluates current clinical practice standards and provides updates to medical treatment protocols Participates in practice related committees such as research and education initiatives Participate in education sessions and performance improvement case reviews as scheduled by the supervisor Essential Qualifications: Certifications/Licenses Licensure to practice in Nevada as a (PMHNP) Nurse Practitioner or a Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist (APRN) Ability to pass first level and NABS background clearance Education: Must have graduated from an accredited school with a Masters Degree in Nursing and must have a board certification as a APRN Experience and Competencies: Able to work in a fast pace, flexible environment or telehealth Must complete assigned screening and outcome related reports in a in timely manner Supports the organizational polices and standards of practice Job Types: Part-time, Contract Pay: From $80.00 per hour License/Certification: APRN-NP (Required) Ability to Relocate: Las Vegas, NV 89106: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
