In the care of patients, the Psychiatric APRN uses advanced diagnostic skills, orders diagnostic tests, prescribes medication in accordance with the Nursing and Advanced Practice Act, and administers medications. The Psychiatric APRN uses medical therapeutic, and corrective measures to treat illness and improve mental health status.
