POSITION SUMMARY APRN serves as essential members of the GastroMed team. Our team is committed to the delivery of high-quality evidenced-based medical care with a focus on prevention, health promotion and health maintenance activities that affect long-term health outcomes. DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES Direct tasks of APRNxe2x80x99s include coordination of all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis of health issues, detect changes in a patient’s health and change treatment plans as necessary, administer medicines, evaluate responses to treatments and medications, consultation, and serving as leaders within the clinical setting. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Acute Board Certified Master’s of Science degree in relevant field. One (1) year of relevant experience. GI experience preferred. Current active State of Florida License as an ARNP Basic Life Support (BLS) Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certification Ability to practice independently while functioning as a leader within the healthcare team. Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Ability to use good reasoning and judgment and react calmly in emergency situations required. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, volunteers, and the public. Ability to explain complex medical concepts in an easy-to-understand manner. Excellent observational and assessment skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. PHYSICAL ABILITIES The ability to stand for long periods of time, push, pull and reach, occasionally bend, sit, stoop, and stretch. Ability to operate a computer keyboard, photocopier, telephone, and other office equipment. Occasionally lift and carry up to 20 pounds. Have a normal range of hearing and eyesight, including color vision, depth perception, close and distant vision, and the ability to focus. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Excellent computer skills and experience with common office equipment and electronic medical recordkeeping software required. Experience with eClinical Works is preferred.
