Policies and Plan Details Job Position: Qualified Medical Provider (2 years of experience, no longer under Utah state supervision requirements) Job Description: Utah Behavior Services has been providing services within the communities throughout the state for over ten years. We provide a whole service model for our clients and families through Applied Behavior Analysis, Mental Health treatment, medication management, and psychological evaluation services. We are looking for an experienced APRN who will step up to the challenge of looking at the intricacies of each patient. Someone whose priority is collaborating with patients, caregivers, and treatment teams alike to support each patient to be the best they can be. If you want to work solely with “routine” patients who lack complexity, this is not the place for you. We are looking for a candidate with the drive to transform lives using her/his compassion, sensitivity, empathy, and practical communication skills. We want a candidate with a passion for integrity and diversity who brings her/his loyal and unique background for the purpose of the best interest of the clients we serve. You need to be very comfortable diagnosing and treating various psychiatric conditions, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, among children and adolescents and adults across a lifespan. What winning looks like: 90% of the Time, the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner must: Provides patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plans in accordance with statutes, regulations, and protocols regulating the profession. Provides psychiatric health services, education, counseling, and emotional support. Refers to patients for inpatient or outside community care, as necessary. Orders laboratory tests and interprets and explains the test results to patients. Provides patient education regarding medications, risks, benefits, and reasonable outcome expectations. (Is a teacher in new concepts for our patients) Communicates with patients and engages in follow-up as necessary. (Always has kind words for others and is a great listener) Oversee and monitor psychotropic medications. (Is on top of things and able to meet deadlines) Provide psychotherapy and integrative therapy interventions. Effective time management & prioritization with a healthy approach to guard your time. (Can you recognize when itxe2x80x99s okay to KINDLY say, xe2x80x9cI canxe2x80x99t do that right now, would tomorrow or another time work?xe2x80x9d) Minimum Criteria for Psych APRN: A master’s degree in nursing or DNP with psychiatric emphasis from an accredited college or university Minimum of 2 years of psych APRN experience- we are not accepting FNPs with psych experience at this time Board certification as a PMHNP DEA license with full prescriptive authority Ability to adapt to a full schedule quickly- a minimum caseload of 60 patient hours weekly Comfortable seeing children, adolescents, and adults for a variety of psychiatric conditions across the lifespan Does not need to bring caseload over to our clinic Preferred Criteria for Psych APRN: 3-5 years of Psych APRN experience Very comfortable seeing children and adolescents Works independently but is able to collaborate with team members APRN Requirements: Compassion, sensitivity, and strong communication skills Critical thinking skills Excellent organizational and time management skills A high degree of sensitivity and confidentiality to appropriately manage delicate and urgent patient situations Ability to collaborate and form effective relationships with colleagues, physicians, staff, and patient Ability to solve problems and manage to change priorities Experience with electronic medical records Experience with tracking, measuring, and using patient-reported outcomes in developing treatment plans bending, moving, lifting, and carrying materials that weigh up to 15 pounds.
