APRN For Local Psych/Behavioral Health Facility $$ Hire Bonus $$ Top Pay $$ We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Registered Nurse for our local client that provides psych & behavioral health care. As an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical facility. This position requires in-depth knowledge of medical procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Duties of the APRN: The APRN may interview and diagnosis patients and record health histories to include but not limited to psychiatric evaluations, mental status exams, physical and developmental assessments, order appropriate diagnostic tests, diagnose behavioral health disorders, provide health teaching and counseling, initiate referrals to other medical providers and court as appropriate, maintain health records, order medications and diagnostic tests. Other evaluations or certifications that may be initiated are those described in Florida Statute 394 and Florida Statue 916 under applicable Florida Law. Additional specifics: The conditions for which the APRN may initiate independent treatment include, but are not limited to: 1. All psychiatric/mental health disorders as diagnosed by the DSM-V. Treatments that may be initiated by the APRN, depending on the patient condition and judgment of the APRN: 1. Include individual, group, and family evaluation. Management of psychiatric or mental health services: 1. Psychiatric Assessments 2. Identification of Problems/Issues 3. Determination of appropriate treatment 4. Facilitation of Continuity of Care 5. Seclusion/Restraints 6. Level of Observation 7. Alteration of Freedom of Movement 8. Emergency Treatment Orders (initiate, discontinue, continue) 9. Preparation of psychiatric summaries for legal action including providing testimony 10. Laboratory/Diagnostic Testing and Interpretation of Results 11. Consultation with other health care providers as needed. Drug therapies that the APRN may prescribe, initiate, monitor, alter, or order: 1. Alzheimer treatments 2. Anticholinergics 3. Anticonvulsants 4. Antidepressants 5. Antihistamines/Antipyretics 6. Antipsychotics 7. Anxiolytics 8. Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder Treatments 9. Cognitive Enhancers 10. Mood Stabilizers 11. Sedative Hypnotics 12. Substance Use Disorder Treatments 13. Alpha inhibitory Agonists 14. Nicotinic Receptor Agonistics 15. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agents 16. Antiemetic 17. Thyroid Medication for psychiatric treatment only 18. Non-psychiatric drugs for psychiatric purposes 19.
