Job Summary: SMH-Venice is seeking a dedicated and experienced Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join our Employee Health Services team. The Employee Health APRN will be responsible to proving high-quality healthcare services to our new hires and employees, focusing on preventative care, occupational health and wellness promotion. Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive health assessments for employee, including medical history review, physical exams, and health screenings; develop and implement individualized care plans for employees based on assessment findings and occupational health guidelines; provide treament for work-related injuries and illnesses, including first aid, wound care and referrals for further evaluation or treatment as needed; administer immunizations, vaccinations and other preventative healthcare services to employees; educate employees on health and wellness topics including injury prevention; and maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation in compliance with regulartory policies. Job Summary: The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) reflects the mission, vision, and values of Sarasota Memorial Health Care System, adheres to the organizationxe2x80x99s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and other regulatory and accreditation standards. The APRN I typically work in an outpatient clinic or area with set hours (i.e., PAT, Employee Health). An APRN is a registered nurse and therefore can perform all duties that are considered routine duties of a registered nurse. In addition, an APRN holds a masterxe2x80x99s or doctoral degree. The APRN functions as part of the multidisciplinary health team in accordance with privileges approved by the credentialing committee to provide high-quality, cost-effective advanced nursing care to patients within the APRNxe2x80x99s scope of practice. Required Qualifications: Require advanced degree from an accredited school or college of nursing. *Must have had a Medicare number in the State of Florida prior to 1/1/03; if not, must have a masterxe2x80x99s degree in nursing in addition to being a Registered Professional Nurse who is authorized by Florida to practice in accordance with state law. Require approved APRN board certification. **Must be certified as a APRN by a recognized national certifying body having established standards for APRNxe2x80x99s. Prefer knowledge of relevant state and federal laws, statutes and regulations.
