This position is 12hr shifts for 2 days a week, we are open Monday, Wednesday & Friday. ABOUT KLARISANA Lingering mental health conditions have the power of setting people apart from their true identities and leading them into severe symptoms of desperation, exhaustion, and hopelessness. At Klarisana, we perform ketamine treatment for a variety of mental health conditions – commonly depression, anxiety, and PTSD. Our service is an adjunct therapy for these conditions. Excellent customer service skills are required. We are a team of highly-motivated emergency medical professionals and office personnel. OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION The Locum Tenen Medical Provider is responsible for clinical care. Providers must have excellent working knowledge of clinical medicine and evidence-based treatments for medical conditions. The medical provider will oversee clinical care and follow-up for patients. QUALIFICATIONS Possess current, valid licensure as a Nurse Practitioner OR valid licensure as a Physician Assistant from the appropriate state board. BLS required 2+ years experience preferred Valid Prescriptive Authority in the State of Texas required Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certification preferred DUTIES Safely administer and monitor patients receiving ketamine Manage the on duty medical care team Monitor patient medication, interactions, and effects of ketamine treatment while guiding patients through a psychedelic experience Performs a comprehensive patient health assessment, including health history and physical exams Educate patients and their families on managing illnesses or injuries and disease prevention, specifically as it relates to ketamine treatment Establishes systematic follow-up for evaluation of the plan of care; reassesses and modifies the plan as needed, including initiation of referrals and consultation with physicians and other health care providers as appropriate Maintains accurate, legible and confidential records, including clinical course and billing information Conducts in-person and video telehealth visits Assists with clinical workflow such as scheduling, room preparation/cleaning, medical supply inventory, and EHR task completion Closely monitor patients throughout session and evaluate for discharge Assist with training new providers Assist in reviewing and editing Klarisana policy and procedure Other duties as assigned WORK ENVIRONMENT Office based and clinical setting In a temperature-controlled office environment Telehealth in a private, HIPAA compliant location TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS Commuting to and from clinic locations.
