Growing Medical Practice in the Tidewater area currently has a fulltime opening for a certified Nurse Practitioner. Ideal candidates will have geriatric experience and/or experience working in an assisted living setting and nursing homes (Preferred, but not required). Should be able to work well independently in a clinical and/or hospital setting, demonstrating effective decision-making skills.Responsibilities include:Providing care and proper education to patientsObtaining patient health historiesPerforming medical examinations and assessmentsDetermining appropriate treatment plansSafely administering medicationOther related dutiesQualified applicants will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, a high level of professionalism and confidentiality, and a solid work ethic. Graduation from an Accredited Nurse Practitioner Program is required. Hours are M-F with a rotating call group on weekends.
