Location: Southwest Houston / Highway 59 & Chimney Rock Rd Seeking a full time Nurse Practitioner to join a progressive Urgent Care clinic. The Nurse Practitioner will exam, assess, plan and implement the healthcare of assigned patients in collaboration and under the general supervision of a licensed physician. We are on the lookout for a dedicated and dynamic Nurse Practitioner to become an integral part of our forward-thinking Urgent Care clinic team. This role demands a professional who is adept at conducting comprehensive examinations, assessments, and implementing tailored healthcare plans for our patients. Operating under the proficient guidance of our licensed physicians, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional patient care. Role Responsibilities: Conduct thorough examinations and assessments, devising and executing healthcare plans for patients in coordination with, and under the guidance of, our licensed physicians. Provide care for routine urgent and wellness management needs across a broad patient demographic, starting from age 2. Skillfully assess and manage patient care, making informed decisions about when to collaborate with or refer to other specialists. Ensure seamless communication with a patient’s Primary Care Provider (PCP), and when necessary, with specialists, to provide a cohesive patient care experience. Deliver comprehensive counseling and education to patients and their families on medications, illness management, treatment alternatives, procedural details, and wellness promotion. Work collaboratively within the clinic environment alongside physicians, medical assistants, and office administration staff. Exhibit autonomy in patient care, demonstrating competence in treating a wide array of conditions independently. Perform various procedures, including sutures, incision and drainage (I&D), Pap smears, and toenail removals, among others. Educate patients and their families on care plans, ensuring they have the information needed to manage their health effectively. Embrace a visible and proactive working style, demonstrating commitment and consistency in line with clinic values. Adhere to established clinic standards, protocols, and guidelines, ensuring top-notch care delivery in our employer-based clinic setting. Educational and Professional Requirements: Masterxe2x80x99s Degree in Nursing, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) preferred. Active Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Texas. Current CPR certification and compliance with all licensure requirements as outlined by the Texas medical board. A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience is preferred, showcasing a breadth of knowledge and expertise in patient care.
