Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our men’s health clinic. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will provide health care to adult men focusing on testosterone replacement therapy, medically assisted weight loss, growth hormone optimization, some fertility treatment, health promotion, and some disease management. No prior experience in this field required but preferred. We have our own treatment guidelines that we like our nurse practitioners to followYou pick your own hours (typically Monday through Friday, 8am to 8pm). We need someone who is able to come into the clinic at times for in person appointments but majority of the appointments will be via telemedicine since quite a few patients live out of townxc2xa0Responsibilities- Conduct physical examinations and obtain medical histories- Diagnose and treat patients suffering from low testosterone- Diagnose and treat patients trying to lose weight- Order and interpret diagnostic tests- Develop and implement treatment plans- Prescribe medications and other treatments (must be comfortable prescribing testosterone since hormone optimization is what we focus on)- Provide patient education on disease prevention and management- Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care- Utilize electronic health record systems (such as Simple Practice) for medical documentationSkillsTo excel in this role, you should have the following skills:- Proficiency in performing physical examinations and diagnosing patients- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members- Must be skilled in traditional nursing disciplines of patient assessment and management.xc2xa0Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and Nurse Practitioner programMinimum Experience: Two years previous professional nursing experience with one to three yearsxe2x80x99 experience as a Nurse Practitioner preferredCertification/Licensure: Certified as a Nurse Practitioner with current state licensure to include NM Controlled Substance, DEA license, and Board Certificationxc2xa0Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities and skills.
