Child & Adolescent Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) – Part-Time Location: Belchertown, MA Hours: 8 hours / week Compensation: Competitive, between $75 to $85/ hour DOE Experience Level: Minimally 2-3 of Experience prescribing acute level care to Child & Adolescent patients Job Description of Child & Adolescent PMHNP: We are currently seeking an experienced Child & Adolescent Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our team in Belchertown, MA, on a part-time basis. As a PMHNP, you will play a crucial role in providing psychiatric care to children and adolescents, focusing on those with acute levels of need. Responsibilities of Child & Adolescent PMHNP: Conduct psychiatric assessments and evaluations for children and adolescents. Diagnose and treat psychiatric disorders in accordance with established guidelines and protocols. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and therapy. Monitor and evaluate patients’ responses to treatment, adjusting plans as necessary. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including therapists, social workers, and physicians. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions and treatment options. Qualifications of Child & Adolescent PMHNP: Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing with specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health. Current certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). Valid Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in Massachusetts. Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a PMHNP with children and adolescents. Experience prescribing medications for acute levels of need. Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
