We have an exciting full-time opportunity for a Texas licensed nurse practitioner, specializing in adolescent and adult psychiatry, to join our growing practice. Our established practice offers a full range of psychiatric services including TMS. This position will have an instrumental role in the treatment, support and education of mental health patients, families and communities in the area of Frisco, Texas. This position will have the opportunity to utilize their expertise of psychotherapy modalities and psychopharmacology and support patients through a unique, hybrid blend of onsite and telehealth services. In collaboration with our supervising physician, this position will help assess, diagnose, and/or develop and implement individualized care plans and regimen. Job Requirements and Qualifications: Masterxe2x80x99s or Doctorate Degree in Nursing with focus on Psychiatric nursing Graduation from a state-certified advance practice program specializing in psychiatry/mental health Minimum Required Experience: At least 1-2 years providing direct patient care to persons receiving treatment for psychiatric disorders Ability to work with both adult and adolescent populations Preferred Experience: 2+ years of experience as a psychiatric provider Experience in telemedicine Licenses/Certifications Must be certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in Psychiatric Mental Health (PMH) as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) An unrestricted license to practice as an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) in the state of Texas Must have a valid DEA number and unrestricted DEA license in Texas Registration with the state Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP) in Collin County and for Texas, where direct services will be provided No suspension/exclusion/debarment from participation in federal health care programs (e.g. Medicare, Medicaid, SCHIP) Maintain credentials and licensure with all major insurance companies and licensing boards with the assistance of our credentialing staff Tech savvy with the ability to adapt to new programs, systems and/or technology. Prior use of EHRs and/or video-conferencing platforms preferred Interacts compassionately and effectively with a diverse population, both in person and via teleconferences Multilingual and multi-state licensing is a plus Additional Skills Required: Experience in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care Able to document and navigate EHR independently Ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action Proficient computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Ability to work effectively on multidisciplinary team Ability to read, analyze and interpret general and professional documents. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations Ability to foster teamwork; train and direct the work of team members and colleagues Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to work productively and make independent decisions Open to learning functional and integrative medicine Full time equates to 40 working hours per week. Part Time hours TBD Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for providing psychiatric services to patients in a variety of clinical settings during scheduled hours. Scope of services includes outpatient psychiatric evaluations and medication management services. Assess, diagnose, and treat adults and adolescents experiencing symptoms of a behavioral health disorders. Prescribe, recommend, or discontinue drugs and treatments to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders in accordance with the statexe2x80x99s Nurse Practice Act. Collaborate with counselors, social workers, or other treatment team members to coordinate patient care Responsible for timely and accurate completion of medical records, including assessment, treatment plan, progress notes, outcome measures, and billing entries Counsel patients during appointments, as necessary Design/participate in the development of individualized treatment plans, incorporating best and leading practices into treatment interventions Examine or order laboratory or diagnostic tests for patients to provide information on general physical condition and mental disorders Collaborate with guardians, relatives, and significant others on patientxe2x80x99s conditions and treatment when clinically appropriate Prepare and submit assessments, progress notes, reports, and summaries to entities/agencies (funders, insurance companies, etc.) as required Responsible for making independent decisions based on protocols developed utilizing national guidelines for treatment interventions Responsible for maintaining customer relations with all staff and patients Record all services performed for accurate billing for services provided in compliance with all local, state and federal laws, as well as payor rules and regulations Submit billing documents in a timely fashion Look for ways to improve and promote quality Provide teaching and education to clinical staff, if requested Job Type: Full-time Pay: $85.00 per hour Benefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Medical specialties: Psychiatry Standard shift: Day shift Weekly schedule: Monday to Friday Work setting: Clinic Hybrid work Telehealth Application Question(s): Do you have at least 1-2 years experience as a Psychiatric NP treating adolescent and adult patients?
